Sega Reveals Multiplayer Modes for Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble on Nintendo Switch
Sega has unveiled an exciting new trailer for the upcoming Nintendo Switch exclusive game, Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble, showcasing its various multiplayer modes. Set to be released on June 25th, 2024, the game will offer a range of multiplayer options for players to enjoy.
One of the key features of the game is the ability for two players to team up and tackle the main campaign in co-op mode. Additionally, up to 16 players can join in the fun through online multiplayer modes. The trailer highlights five different multiplayer modes: Race, Banana Hunt, Ba-BOOM!, Gold Rush, and Robo Smash.
In the Race mode, players must compete against each other to reach the goal while navigating through challenging obstacles. Falling off the stage will result in starting again from the last checkpoint passed, adding an element of excitement and tension to the gameplay.
Banana Hunt mode tasks players with collecting as many bananas as possible, with bonus points available during Fever Time when Banana Bunches rain down on the stage. Ba-BOOM! mode adds a twist by requiring players to pass a bomb to their opponents and roll away to avoid explosions, with points awarded to the player without the bomb at the end of each round.
Goal Rush is a team-based mode where players must roll through goals to earn points, working together to outscore the opposing team. Finally, Robot Smash mode pits two teams against each other in a battle to destroy giant robots, with points awarded based on the damage inflicted.
The Super Monkey Ball franchise has had its ups and downs in terms of quality, but fans are hopeful that this new Switch release will live up to the standards set by previous entries in the series. With the addition of multiplayer modes and the promise of chaotic gameplay, Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble is shaping up to be a must-have title for Nintendo Switch owners.
