NetherWorld: A Twisted Adventure Coming to Nintendo Switch in 2025

Publisher SelectaPlay and developer Hungry Pixel have announced an exciting new game coming to the Nintendo Switch in 2025. NetherWorld is described as an action-adventure narrative experience with stylish pixel art visuals that promise to be absolutely bonkers. The game is not suitable for younger players, despite its jaunty music in the trailer, as it features some ‘Conker’ vibes.

The protagonist of NetherWorld is Medoo, a curious little jellyfish who finds himself in a dark and mysterious land after drowning his sorrows in a bottle of vodka. Players will need to navigate this strange world, meet a variety of weird and wonderful characters, and take on fearsome bosses in order to progress.

Some key features of NetherWorld include a twisted story where players interact with characters like cokehead mages, entrepreneur prostitutes, mobsters, sociopath kids, and old perverts who all aim to either fix or worsen the pieces of Medoo’s broken life. The game also includes crazy minigames where players can earn money and items by participating in drinking competitions, amorous encounters, shooting challenges, or controlling a bionic tick named Joe through rogue-like dungeons.

Additionally, NetherWorld promises bonkers boss fights where players must use guns, weapons, and environmental objects to survive savage encounters. The game offers the option to face bosses unarmed for an added challenge.

NetherWorld will be available both digitally and physically when it launches on the Nintendo Switch in 2025. Fans of dark storytelling and unique gameplay experiences may find NetherWorld to be an intriguing addition to their gaming library. Share your thoughts on this upcoming game in the comments below.
