Exclusive Update: Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Remake Completely Remade from Scratch

A recent update on Ubisoft’s Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Remake has sparked excitement and curiosity among gaming enthusiasts. Insider Gaming journalist Tom Henderson has shared an exclusive report revealing that the remake of the beloved game has been completely “remade from scratch.” While the project has reached an “important” milestone, it is still in the early stages of development.

According to the report, footage of the game shared with Insider Gaming shows that it is still in an early stage, with missing textures and assets. Despite this, the remake is said to include a complete graphical overhaul, new animations, mechanics for combat and parkour, and more. The title has also been “rewritten” and “recaptured in mocap.” However, fans of the original game may be disappointed to learn that the original voice of the Prince, Yuri Lowenthal, will not be reprising his role in the remake.

Sources suggest that Ubisoft may soon provide a more prominent update on the project, potentially signaling the end of the “troubled development” phase it has reportedly been facing. This news comes on the heels of another exclusive report by Henderson, revealing a new roguelike Prince of Persia game in the works by Evil Empire, the co-developer of Dead Cells.

The return of the Sands of Time has generated excitement among fans who have fond memories of playing the original game. Are you interested in the remake? Did you play the original Prince of Persia: Sands of Time back in the day? Share your thoughts and stay tuned for more updates on this highly anticipated project.
